Introduction: We worked with WakeFit’s mattress unit at Bangalore on improving their Productivity and Quality through Lean manufacturing initiatives

Our Activities: We have used Value Stream Mapping (VSM), 5S, TPM and other lean tools in the engagement. Training has been provided to the teams on sustenance. Rewards and Recognition by the Top management ensured high level of motivation for the members.

Results: Output of the unit increased from 1000 mattresses per shift to 1500 per shift. So the company decided to reduce 1 shift operations, resulting in tremendous savings in manpower and operational costs.
