Introduction: We have implemented 5S at Santhi Processing Unit, Erode – a large Textile company consisting of Spinning, Weaving and Dyeing units. 

Our Activities: We have created teams and applied our unique Gamification method for implementing 5S at their Spinning, Weaving, Dyeing and Head Office. We have trained the Core Teams (who are the essential part of the 5S Implementation and Sustenance) on the 5S activities. Rewards and Recognition were provided to the team and the sustenance of the initiatives is ensured through Weekly Reviews.

Results Achieved: Spinning unit efficiency improved from 94% to 98.5%. Thread cutting was reduced by 25% due to the initiation and sustenance of Daily Cleaning (Autonomous Maintenance – A critical part of implementing the 5S).
