Introduction: We have started working with a large Printing company based in Coimbatore which supplies to all major FMCG and Liquor brands in the country

Before State (As-Is Situation): 5S was not practiced in the company. No specific location for each materials. A lot of unwanted items present in the company. Lack of Preventive Maintenance and Daily Cleaning.

Our Activities: We started the engagement with forming the core team for implementing 5S. We gave training to the core team on 5S activities. We initially started with 1 zone for 1S activities and gradually implemented 5S across all the zones in the unit.

Result: A lot of unwanted items were moved out of the unit. 15% extra space availability due to removal of unwanted items. All the required materials are arranged properly with labels and visual indicators. Preventive Maintenance was initiated and it reduced the overall breakdowns in the unit.
